1. All Chinese nationals must apply for Indian visas only through official channels. Applicants are advised to use the government visa website (indianvisaonline.gov.in) or the authorized visa application center (IVAC, Beijing) and follow all official instructions.

2. Use only official channels: Beware of anyone promising faster processing or a guaranteed visa – those are empty promises. These fraudsters often demand extra fees and may submit forged documents in your name. Submission of false information or documents is considered a serious offence and will result in your visa being rejected and could make it harder for you to get visa in the future.

3. Pay only the official fees: The embassy and visa center charge fixed visa fees as published on the official website. Do not pay extra money to anyone for visa processing. No one should ask you for additional payment beyond the official visa fee. If someone demands an extra fee (for example, in cash or a third-party account), do not pay it – it is a scam. Report such cases to the Embassy using the QR code below.

4. No “shortcuts” for appointments: Do not pay anyone for expedited appointments, rescheduling, or promises of special treatment. Any promise to speed up your application or secure an appointment in exchange for money is fraudulent. If you encounter such a demand, refuse it and report the incident directly to the Embassy using the QR code below.

Important Information for Passport Submission

Starting 5th Nov,  Applicants in Guangzhou, please note that passports are securely processed upon submission and cannot be withdrawn immediately.

To collect your passport later, we kindly request you to submit the signed Passport Withdrawal Form along with your original passport. You may download this form from our website, print it, and sign it before your visit.

You will be able to collect your passport from our center three working days after submission.

Notice to India Visa Applicants: Streamlined Biometric Collection Process

To enhance convenience for visa applicants travelling to India, biometric data provided during the initial application will remain valid for a period of five years from the date of first submission. Applicants who have previously submitted biometric information will not be required to provide it again within five-years.

Furthermore, applicants aged 70 years or above, or children under 12 years of age, are exempt from biometric data collection.

Mandatory E-Arrival Card submission for international travelers entering India

All international travelers entering India are required to complete an Electronic Arrival Card prior to entry. However, physical disembarkation card will also continue temporarily open to ensure there's no inconvenience to the travelers. However, travelers are strongly encouraged to use the e-submission option.

Due to the impact of Super Typhoon and in the interest of public safety and health, in accordance with the government-issued emergency response requirements for typhoon prevention, the Shenzhen and Guangzhou Visa Application Centers will be closed for one day on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
Applicants originally scheduled for appointments on this day are advised to monitor for further updates and adjust their plans accordingly. Appointments affected by this closure can still be submitted until September 30, 2024.

Notice to All Tourist Visa Applicants

According to the latest regulations, tourist visa applicants may now choose to apply at the jurisdictional consular district corresponding to their place of work.

Applicants who choose this service must provide valid proof of employment (such as an original employment letter, a copy of the business license with the company's fresh seal, etc.) at the time of application to confirm that their work location is consistent with the consular district where they are applying.

Please note that all applications must comply with the requirements of the Indian Consulate and are subject to review. The final decision on issuance is at the sole discretion of the consular officer.
