Miscellaneous Visa (X-1)
Miscellaneous Visa (X-1) is granted to persons of Indian Origin, who does not possess an OCI card, spouse/ children of an Indian citizen/ Person of Indian Origin/ OCI cardholder (other than those who are registered as OCI cardholder)
Miscellaneous Visa (X-2)
‘X-2’ Visa is granted to - (a) foreign nationals coming to join Auroville Foundation / Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Puducherry/ Missionaries of Charity, Kolkata/ similar approved organizations, temples and (b) foreign Buddhist Monks coming to join Buddhist Monasteries/ other Buddhist organizations for charity work.
X-Misc
‘X-Misc.’ visa is applicable in the following cases:
i. foreign nationals who own property in India
ii. Visa of foreigners who are staying in India for a long time
iii. Ordinary passport holding dependents of diplomats/ officials assigned to India (including in the UN and Non-UN International Organizations)
iv. for a purpose, which is not specifically covered under any visa category,
